The Department of Infectious Diseases and Immunology at the University of Florida (UF) invites applications for a highly motivated Postdoctoral Associate to join our team. The PI is Liang Zhou, M.D., Ph.D. This Postdoctoral Associate position is immediately available to study mucosal immunology, focusing on T cells and innate lymphoid cells, at Dr. Liang Zhou’s laboratory at the University of Florida, Gainesville. The Zhou lab utilizes a combination of molecular, cellular immunology, mouse genetics, and animal models of human disease to determine the transcriptional and metabolic regulation of T cells and other related lymphocytes (e.g., innate lymphoid cells-ILCs) in health and disease (e.g., autoimmunity, infection and tumor immunity). The candidate is expected to work with animals, including germ-free mice, and also has the opportunity to work with human samples through collaboration with the College of Medicine. The position will be funded by NIH R01 grants and Burroughs Wellcome Fund. The salary is commensurate with experience according to NIH standards. This is a multi-year position with renewal based on job performance. The successful candidate will also have career development opportunities, including promotion to research track faculty/professor at UF.

Qualifications:
- Recent Ph.D. in Basic Science/Immunology with strong in vitro and in vivo laboratory skills in immunology
- Previous experience with animal models, traditional biochemical and molecular assays, and cellular immunology (e.g., FACS) is required
- Experience in the analysis of genetically altered mice, ChIP-Seq, RNA-Seq, ATAC-seq, and bioinformatics are a plus
- Highly motivated, productive, and energetic candidates are preferred
