Two postdoctoral fellow/research associate positions are immediately available in the Children and Adolescent Cancer and Blood Disease Center at New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY. The overall goal of the laboratory is to breakthrough personalized therapy through pioneering research for cancers. One of the projects is to develop targeted adoptive cellular cancer immunotherapy. The other project focuses on pre-clinical immunotherapeutic approaches involving tumor associated macrophages (TAMs). Both projects are funded by NIH. Successful candidates will utilize a variety of innovative technologies including single cell RNAseq, mass cytometry, nanostring, and humanized mice.
Candidates must have a MS/PhD or equivalent degree in Immunology or Molecular and Cellular Biology, and expertise in working with mice in translational studies and in experimental approaches to studying immune functions. Expertise in innate immunity and/or working with oncolytic virus is a plus. Qualifications also include strong interpersonal and organizational skills and collaborative attitude.
