Seeking a candidate who holds either PhD, DMV, or MD degree(s) and has a strong background primarily in cellular immunology and molecular biology; familiarity with immuno-parasitology and biochemistry are an excellent asset. The project involves studies of immune responses to Plasmodium (malaria) antigens representing pre-erythrocytic stage (sporozoite and liver stage) of infection. The studies will involve experiments requiring handling small laboratory animals (mice), dissecting mosquitoes, working with human peripheral blood mononuclear cells, performing tissue culture and molecular biology assays.
