A postdoctoral position is currently available in the Sage Laboratory at Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School. The goal of the Sage Lab is to understand how the immune system regulates pathogenic and protective antibody responses in vaccination and disease. We are a cellular immunology laboratory that combines transcriptomics/genomics, novel in vivo mouse models, imaging and physiologically relevant disease models to understand how antibody responses are regulated. We approach the study of antibody responses both from the Tfh/Tfr and B cell side of the germinal center (GC) reaction. We go where the research takes us.
This post-doctoral position will focus on understanding how follicular T cells (Tfh and Tfr cells) control protective and pathogenic antibody responses in the context of allergic inflammation and/or infection using already developed (but unpublished) novel mouse models. An ideal candidate will have previous experience in studying adaptive immunity (either CD4 T cells or B cells) in allergies, infection or vaccination.
Required qualifications: PhD within the last 4 years in a related biological field with expertise in immunology. Experience with flow cytometry and in vivo mouse models is required.
An ideal candidate will also have experience in bulk or single cell transcriptomics.
